Season’s greetings to you.
I hope you enjoyed the small gift that was hand-delivered to you this Christmas. I write this note to let you know that I will be spending the first half of this year (2023) in Brisbane studying full-time at the Queensland Theological College. This is something that I must do in order to become an ordained Presbyterian minister. I will be leaving St Andrew’s church in Damon’s capable hands and look forward to returning to serve the church for the last half of the year.
This does mean that I will not be able to continue producing The Anchor Newsletter. For January I am trying something different by adding an article to the weekly church handouts. A copy has been enclosed with this note and I ask you to take a look and let me know what you think.
I am so glad to hear feedback about how encouraging The Anchor Newsletter has been over the years to those who are unable to attend church for various reasons.
I will close with a beautiful scripture from Hebrews:
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Heb. 13:8)
We may not know what challenges we will be facing, but we do know that even though it’s a new year, we still serve the same God!
Let’s look forward to this year with confidence and assurance that God will lead us.
Pastor Ben
